What is Cross-Channel Synchronization?
Definition
Cross-channel synchronization ensures consistent product information across multiple sales or marketing channels. Updates made in PIM automatically flow to all connected channels, preventing mismatches. This improves customer experience and reduces operational overhead.
Consistency does not require identical formatting when channels have different requirements. For example, an autonomous product data operation could take an approved correction to a fixture's wattage, update each affected channel's mapped field, and compare acknowledgments to identify channels still awaiting correction.
