What is Autonomous Data Platform?

Definition

An autonomous data platform combines enterprise data management capabilities with an autonomous operating layer that can perform data operations on behalf of users. Instead of only providing tools for people to manage data, the platform can use data, context, rules, governance, and connected systems to execute more of the operation itself.

The platform provides shared data, controls, and execution capabilities for multiple operations. For example, an autonomous product data operation could take a supplier update affecting products and relationships, coordinate changes against shared records and governance rules, and make approved information available to authorized downstream systems.
