Data Integration
Your commerce site, synchronized with governed product data
Map categories, variants and assets to your commerce platform once, decide which system owns each field and keep the storefront current without manual uploads.
The capability
Integration, with ownership spelled out
B2B commerce platforms have their own category trees, variant models and field structures. When product data is uploaded by spreadsheet, variants break apart, categories drift and price data from ERP collides with content from marketing.
Autonera's ecommerce integration maps your product model to the storefront model: categories to navigation, families to configurable parents, variants to child SKUs and asset roles to image slots. Field ownership defines which values Autonera sends and which belong to ERP or the commerce platform, such as price and inventory.
Synchronization runs on change events or schedules, and failures are reported per record with the reason. Publication governance stays in Autonera: only approved, ready products are sent.
Problems it solves
Where this work usually breaks down
Variants flattened
Configurable products arrive as unrelated SKUs.
Category drift
Storefront navigation diverges from the governed taxonomy.
Field collisions
Prices and content are overwritten by the wrong system.
Silent failures
Products fail to sync and nobody notices until customers do.

How it works
Prepare a safety-products payload for a storefront
Map the earplug category to clear the blocking error, and switch price ownership to see which fields Autonera sends.
CATEGORY MAPPING
PRICE OWNERSHIP
GL-100
Variants: GL-100-S, GL-100-M, GL-100-L
EP-220
Fields sent: sku, title, category, images
EP-220: category "Hearing protection > Earplugs" not mapped
In industrial operations
A safety distributor connects PIM to its B2B storefront
Weekly spreadsheet uploads broke glove size variants and overwrote contract prices from ERP.
- Families map to configurable parents.
- Taxonomy nodes map to storefront categories.
- ERP keeps ownership of price and inventory.
- Approved changes sync incrementally.
Result: The storefront reflects approved content within the synchronization window, without touching ERP-owned fields.
Autonomous operations
How autonomous execution changes ecommerce integration
Agents monitor synchronization, repair mapping gaps and route failures, while integration owners approve mapping changes.
Agents carry out
- Detect unmapped categories before sync
- Retry transient failures
- Group rejections by cause
- Propose mapping updates
People decide
- Approve mappings
- Decide field ownership
- Own storefront taxonomy
Evidence recorded
- Payload per sync
- Failures and retries
- Mapping changes

Buyer FAQs
Questions evaluators ask
Which commerce platforms are supported?
Specific platform connectors are confirmed during evaluation. The integration pattern applies to platforms that expose product and catalog APIs.
Does Autonera send prices?
Only if you assign price ownership to Autonera. Many customers keep price and inventory in ERP.
How are variants handled?
Families and variant axes map to the storefront's parent-child or configurable product model.
How is this different from syndication?
Ecommerce integration is a two-system connection you operate. Syndication delivers to many external destinations with their own acceptance rules.
What happens when a sync fails?
Failures are reported per record with reasons and can be retried after correction.
