What is PIM Connector?
Definition
A PIM connector is a pre-built integration that links PIM with systems such as ERP, CRM, eCommerce platforms, or DAM solutions. It automates data flow between systems to eliminate manual uploads and reduce errors. These connectors accelerate onboarding and ensure real-time product data synchronisation.
Connector capabilities depend on supported interfaces, permissions, and field coverage. For example, an autonomous product data operation could take approved changes to lighting descriptions, send mapped fields through the configured PIM connector, and record accepted updates and any unsupported-field errors.
