What is Node?
Definition
A node is a fundamental unit within a product taxonomy that groups similar or related products under a hierarchical structure. In PIM, nodes define category paths and attribute inheritance rules. They help maintain clean classification and guide consistent product organisation across channels.
A node's meaning depends on its model: it can represent a category, entity, or relationship endpoint. For example, an autonomous product data operation could take a High Bay category node in a product taxonomy, attach correctly classified lighting products to that node, and apply the category's required attribute rules.

- Step 2:
Node
Attach correctly classified lighting products to that node
- Step 3:
Outcome
Apply the category's required attribute rules
