What is Supplier Portal?
Definition
A supplier portal allows suppliers to upload, edit, and manage product data directly into the PIM environment. It streamlines onboarding, reduces manual coordination, and enforces validation rules at source. This speeds up catalog readiness and ensures cleaner data.
Portal access should limit each supplier to its authorized submissions and responses. For example, an autonomous product data operation could take a supplier uploading revised lighting specifications, validate the submission and expose its own review feedback, and prevent access to other suppliers' restricted records.
