What is ISO 27001 Compliant PIM?

Definition

ISO 27001 Compliant PIM refers to a product-information environment managed within information-security practices aligned with ISO/IEC 27001. The standard addresses an organization's information security management system, including risk assessment, controls, and continual improvement. Any certification claim should be checked against the actual certificate, organization, and scope rather than inferred from a software label.

ISO 27001 concerns a scoped information-security management system, not automatic product-level certification. For example, an autonomous product data operation could take an access-control review for a product-data workflow, collect relevant approval and access evidence for the security owner, and support assessment without claiming the workflow establishes certification.
