Master Data Management

One trusted record, with every source still accounted for.

Autonera consolidates supplier, product, customer and location records into a governed golden record that knows where each value came from and who depends on it.

The capability

A master identity that stays connected to its sources

A golden record is the single, trusted representation of an entity such as a supplier, product, customer or location. It is assembled from the records held in ERP, procurement, portals, commerce systems and external providers, each of which knows part of the truth.

Autonera keeps every contributing source linked through cross-references, so the golden record always knows which source keys it represents. Field ownership defines which source is authoritative for each attribute, with fallbacks when the preferred source has no value. Every value in the golden record carries its provenance, and the record is re-resolved when a source changes.

Downstream systems consume the golden record rather than individual sources. Because consumers and their required fields are known, Autonera can show which systems are affected when a source is unlinked or a value cannot be resolved.

Functional capabilities

What Golden Records includes

Master identity
A persistent master identifier independent of any source system's key.
Source cross-references
Link every contributing source record and retain its key, status and synchronization time.
Field-level ownership
Define the authoritative source per attribute with ordered fallbacks.
Provenance
Record the source, rule and time behind every value in the golden record.
Continuous refresh
Re-resolve values automatically when linked sources change.
Downstream consumption
Publish golden records to consuming systems and track which fields each depends on.

How it works

Assemble a supplier golden record from four sources

Select a field to see its ownership order and make a different source authoritative. Unlink a source and watch the golden record and its downstream consumers respond.

Problems it solves

Where this work usually breaks down

01

Every system believes it holds the master

ERP, procurement and the portal each hold a different legal name and remit-to address for the same supplier.

02

Consolidation without memory

Merged records lose their source keys, so updates from the original systems can no longer be applied.

03

No provenance for critical values

Nobody can say where a bank or tax value came from when an audit or payment dispute arises.

04

Consumers unaware of gaps

Accounts payable receives incomplete records because nobody tracked which fields it depends on.

Autonomous operations

How autonomous execution changes golden records

Agents keep golden records current as sources change and surface conflicts that ownership rules cannot resolve.

Agents carry out

  • Re-resolve golden records when sources update
  • Flag conflicts between owner and fallback values
  • Detect consumers missing required fields
  • Propose links for newly created source records

People decide

  • Define field ownership and fallbacks
  • Resolve conflicts that rules cannot decide
  • Approve linking and unlinking of sources

Evidence recorded

  • Provenance for every value
  • Cross-reference history per source
  • Downstream deliveries and their contents

In industrial operations

A distributor masters its supplier base before an ERP migration

A distributor with three ERPs from acquisitions holds overlapping vendor records with conflicting legal names, terms and addresses.

  1. Vendor records are matched and linked to golden records with cross-references to each ERP key.
  2. Legal name and tax ID are owned by the external business-credit source, terms by the primary ERP and contacts by the supplier portal.
  3. Accounts payable and onboarding consume golden records instead of ERP-specific vendors.
  4. When a supplier updates its remit-to address in the portal, the golden record and consumers update with full provenance.

Result: The migration loads one trusted supplier per entity, and every value can be traced to its source.

Buyer FAQs

Questions evaluators ask

Which domains can have golden records?

Golden records can be maintained for products, suppliers, customers, locations and other master data domains in the same platform.

Do source systems need to change?

No. Sources keep their own keys. Cross-references link them to the golden record, and consumers can receive master identifiers alongside source keys.

How is field ownership different from survivorship?

Ownership defines the preferred source per field. Survivorship rules can add recency, confidence and completeness logic when ownership alone is not enough.

What happens when a source is retired?

Unlinking a source re-resolves affected fields using fallbacks, and consumers that lose required fields are flagged.

Can golden records be corrected manually?

Yes. Authorized stewards can set a manual value, which is recorded as an exception with its reason and approver.
