Digital Asset Management
Every drawing, manual and photo, findable by the product it describes
A digital asset library built around product context, so images, videos, CAD drawings and compliance documents are searched, governed and reused alongside the data they support.
How it works
Search a pump manufacturer's asset library
Search by tag or SKU, filter by asset type, and switch between an internal and an external user to see restricted drawings appear or disappear.

The capability
Assets organized by what they describe
Industrial companies hold far more than marketing photography: installation guides, exploded views, wiring diagrams, safety data sheets and declarations of conformity. When those files live in shared drives, nobody knows which version belongs to which product.
Autonera stores assets with structured metadata, product links and access rules. Search spans file names, tags, metadata and linked SKUs, and results respect permissions so restricted engineering drawings stay internal. Collections group assets for campaigns, partner kits or document packs.
Because assets live on the same platform as product data, completeness rules can require a datasheet or a primary image, and syndication can deliver the correct files to each channel without a separate export from a disconnected DAM.
Problems it solves
Where this work usually breaks down
Files without context
A folder of PDFs does not say which products, revisions or markets they apply to.
Search by file name only
Users cannot find assets by SKU, application or document type.
Restricted files leaking
Internal drawings are shared externally because access is not enforced.
Duplicate uploads
The same manual is stored many times with different names.
Functional capabilities
What Digital Asset Library includes
- Multi-format storage
- Images, video, PDFs, technical drawings and other documents in one library.
- Structured metadata
- Asset types, tags, product links, locale and rights metadata.
- Product-aware search
- Search by name, tag, metadata or linked SKU with type filters.
- Collections
- Group assets for campaigns, partner packs or catalog production.
- Access control
- Restrict assets by role, team or external audience.
- Renditions on request
- Deliver sizes and formats suited to each channel from one master file.
In industrial operations
A pump manufacturer centralizes technical documentation
Installation guides, CE declarations and exploded views were spread across engineering shares, marketing drives and distributor emails.
- Assets are imported with metadata extracted from file names and folders.
- Each asset is linked to the products it covers.
- Engineering drawings are restricted to internal users.
- Distributors receive document packs through collections.
Result: Teams and partners find the right document by product, and restricted files stay internal.
Autonomous operations
How autonomous execution changes digital asset library
Agents classify incoming files, link them to products and flag duplicates, while people govern access and approvals.
Agents carry out
- Extract metadata and product references from files
- Propose product links
- Detect duplicate uploads
- Report products missing required assets
People decide
- Approve product links for regulated documents
- Set access policies
- Curate collections
Evidence recorded
- Source of each product link
- Access changes
- Duplicate resolution decisions

Buyer FAQs
Questions evaluators ask
Is the DAM a separate product?
No. Asset management is a capability of the Autonera platform and shares product data, permissions and workflows.
Which file types are supported?
Common image, video and document formats are supported. Specific CAD and 3D format support is confirmed during evaluation.
Can external partners access assets?
Yes, through permissions, collections and the partner portal, limited to what they are allowed to see.
Can we migrate from an existing DAM?
Assets and metadata can be imported. Migration scope and mapping are planned during implementation.
How are duplicates handled?
Duplicate detection flags likely duplicates so stewards can merge links and retire extra copies.
